Itinerary

Our all-inclusive retreats mean that you do not have to do or spend anything else; everything is provided for you.  Below please see an example itinerary, giving an idea of what you can expect during your time with us.  

All experiences are carefully chosen to encourage a defining contact with nature, the outdoors, the planet and our selves. We encourage guests to fully immerse themselves in all experiences.

What will your days look like on your Welcome Home Retreat?

Below you will find a typical Welcome Home Retreats schedule.  All activities, drinks and meals are included - our dining out experiences allow guests to enjoy the wonderful hospitality and cuisine of Kerry. Schedules may change, and Welcome Home Retreats offer tailored schedules to meet the needs of private retreats.  

Thursday

Arrival of guests from 3pm

Orientation and housekeeping

Unique secret swim - dive into the Atlantic Ocean from one of our secret swim spots

Friday

Sunrise mediation, followed by sunrise yoga

FULL DAY HIKE

Our hiking guide, Maurice, will lead guests deep into and through the Kerry landscape.  

Departing from the top of Torc Waterfall, you will hike along a clear trail to Galway Bridge; there will be an opportunity for cold water immersion in Cores Cascade Falls. At Galway Bridge, guests will be met by Welcome Home Retreats host, Catherine who will have an al fresco picnic-style lunch waiting.  After lunch guests will continue the hike a further 4 km to Lord Brandon’s cottage.  Here guests alight on a boat for 2.5 hours across the lake, stopping at Innisfallen Island before ending the journey at Ross Castle.

 

Duration: 6 – 7 hours

Grade/Pace: Moderate grade at an easy pace

Distance: approx. 14 km walking – 8km on board boat

Gear: Hiking boots or a good walking shoe, waterproof jacket.

 

Return to accommodation

Sunset mediation, followed by post hike yoga

Saturday

Sunrise mediation, followed by sunrise yoga

Morning activity, such as Bee Beds, Sea Kayaking, SUP....

Lunch

The afternoon will give guests some free time to relax at the accommodation or go for a swim

DEPART FOR DINGLE

Dingle Sea Safari, private tour: This award winning tour on a private RIB will take approximately 2.5/3 hours.  The tour takes guests out along the majestic coastline of Dingle Bay, with all its caves and cliffs.  These waters are home to whales, dolphins and seals. 

Waterproof gear will be provided.

Picnic lunch followed by some time in Dingle town.

​

Dingle Peninsula Hike: Maurice will once again guide guests, this time with his Dingle Film Walk along the breathtaking and iconic landscape of the Dingle Peninsula. The walk takes in film locations for Ryan’s Daughter, Star Wars; The Last Jedi and Far & Away.

Duration: 2-3 hours

Grade/Pace: Moderate grade at an easy pace

Distance: approx. 6 km walking 

Gear: Hiking shoes or runners, windproof jacket

​

Dinner in Dingle: an opportunity to sample one of Ireland's finest dining towns.
